VLDocking is used worldwide by Open Source projects (through the CeCILL licensing which is GPL-Compatible) and regular customers who have purchased a commercial license.
We have just started gathering screenshots from our community and this is the place where you will be able to discover them.

Jajuk - Java Music Organizer - Free Software License

Jajuk (web site) is a Java music organizer for all platforms. The main goal of this project is to provide a fully-featured application to advanced users with large or scattered music collections. Jajuk is a Free Software published under GPL license.

Marathon Testing suite - Free Software License

Marathon (web site ) is a Java GUI testing suite

With Marathon you capture user interactions on the applications and also insert assertions to verify that correct processing is taking place.

The generated raw script can be refactored to modules for efficient reuse and maintainability. Replay the scripts either manually or integrate Marathon into your build process for automatic execution of the test suites.

Geomodeler - Intrepid Geophysics - Commercial license

First of the Open Cascade Users, Intrepid Geophysics ( web site ) has successfully integrated VLDocking into its product line, allowing them to drop the old GUI (based on multiple independant windows) and replace it by a single docking desktop.

Open Cascade is a 3D rendering and simulation engine written in C++ and accessed by their Java application though native bindings. The "docking views" of this Swing application are AWT components, displayed via the heavyweight component support of VLDocking.

Collarity ( web site ) is a fractal generating program that generates Iterated Function System (IFS) type fractal images.

Medplexus - Patient and billing management - Commercial License

Medplexus (web site) offers integrated patient management systems for clinics.

From the VLDocking point of view, this application is somewhat special as it is made of multiple docking desktops, each of them contained in its own JInternal Frame (let's call it "MDI-Docking" !)

PerformanceMonster - An open source profiler

PerformanceMonster (web site) is a free, open source profiler based on instrumentation of code.
This instrumentation can be done automatically (using the runtime manipulation features of Java 5 and later), through the use of a special plug-in for Log4J, or manually, using the stubs offered by the PerformanceMonster distribution (stubs for C#/.NET are also supplied).
The main advantage of using PerformanceMonster over conventional profilers is the "graph area" where you can follow your code in real-time, and see in which order expensive calls are being made.
Clicking on a bar in the graph area will give you e.g. stack traces for each of these calls.

ImageChest / CayenneBiblio/ JKeyword - Image and document management tools

These three applications have been developped for personal use by Alain Couniot, and are used to manage a large (20000+) image library, and documents (books/magazines). They use both VLDocking and VLJTable.

OmegaT+ - free translation tool - Free Software License

The OmegaT+ application is a free translation processor tool with translation memory, exact and approximate matches, glossary function, concordance search, support for a number of different document types (OpenDocument, OpenOffice.org, MS Word [via OpenOffice], HTML, XHTML, Java resource bundles, plain text), project-oriented workflow, and more.
