Minor ReleaseA minor release is generally a corrective patch of existing capabilities, or look and feel updates that doesn't change much of the overall behaviour or appearance of the application. Minor release numbers affect the decimal part of the version number (e.g. 1.0, 1.1, 1.2). Minor version delivering life cycle is of three months. So, customers with basic support will receive 2 minor releases after their purchase and customers with extended support option will receive 4 releases by year, and any in-between release requiered for immediate problem solving that might be encountered. Major releaseMajor releases bring new functionnality to the application. They can requiere a source code modification from the client (although VLSolutions makes its best to minimize it), and are subject to another licencing and purchase (each version has its own life cycle and is maintained at a different pace according to the customers needs).
